freeunibz.net is an open blog project we set up with a group of students at the Faculty of Design and Art of the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano. It serves as platform on which students can share information and where they can publicly discuss issues regarding their studies. Moreover it serves as showcase for students’ projects.

Designistan is an open group of engaged students of the Faculty of Design and Art of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. Their activities and aims are political as well as cultural.
The political work inside the faculty consists in supporting the student speakers and sharing some of their tasks. This way the student speakers have a broader range of action and can count on a group of people to discuss faculty issues. Thus Designistan becomes a reference point for students facing problems or having proposals to bring to the administration.
The cultural work of Designistan consists in supporting student-initiated projects, workshops and events inside the university and the urban context of Bozen-Bolzano. It is an attempt to encourage people to be more active and committed in non-compulsory projects.

The logo was co-designed by Thomas Kronbichler .

Established together with Julia Fellner und Sebastian Obermayer. Now curated by a group of current students – as far as we now Andreas Goebel, Jan Kliewer and the people in Atelier 0.
